The original version was written for the album "Insh'Allah" by Heather Alexander as a musical companion to Steven Barnes' book, "Lion's Blood". This rewrite changes some of the lyrics to move the song from story referral to current reality. This new version is now part of Alexander's July 2026 blog at https://pagansong.com/ with the intention to remind us that we need to stay united in our diversity to bring peaceful co-existence to this magical realm of ours.
